A DREAM- FACEBOOK AND AN ANSWERED PRAYER!

HELLO LOVE- HOW IN THE WORLD ARE YOU???

Well I had a dream the night before last and the dream was about a very special young lady named Maygon who used to be in my college group when I was pastoring back in Omaha, Nebraska... The dream actually startled me a bit because I found her stuck in the hospital and while the authorities were trying to get me out of the room-I refused to leave her side until I knew she was going to be OK...

When I finally did wake up- I sensed an urgency to some how get a hold of her because I just had to be sure that nothing was really wrong and that she was doing all right... But how in the world was I to do that as it probably had been 7 years since we last connected??? Well when there is a strong will and a genuine plea for a little divine inspiration- God always seems to make a way... Enter my daughter Leah who had let me know about this online vehicle for community called Facebook- and how there was actually a lot of my old Zeta Chi gang gathered already there... So even though I am a computer idiot- I was able to muster my way through the process to join Facebook and presto- I found Maygon!!! And not only did I find her- I got to talk to her yesterday and I was ecstatic to discover that she was alive and well and still her extraordinary self and my heart felt like it was going to explode with gratitude... I wanted to go buy a turkey and have Thanksgiving! And while I was glad that the dream was inaccurate- I was also extremely glad that if nothing else- the dream prompted me to reach out and let somebody know how special they still are to my heart- while I still can... As a matter of fact-this Facebook looks like a godsend to me to be able to touch base with the many wonderful individuals that God in his grace has allowed me to know- and now maybe to know again!!!

If God places somebody on your heart- don't dismiss it- run after it and pursue the intuition that could very well lead to the reignition of a treasured relationship... Maygon- you made my day!!! All day yesterday- God reminded me of why I know that the best gift that the Lord has ever given me is that I am able to spend my life being loved by and loving others. It's people that matter most and when it all comes down- it's people that we will move heaven and earth and anything else that stands in the way to get to... Who do you need to get to today? Who do you need to allow to get through to you???

My Facebook page just let me know that somebody else has just accepted my invitation to be my friend again!!! Let's sing- "Friends are friends forever if the Lord's the Lord of them..."

OREGON BOUND!!!

HELLO LOVE- HOW IN THE WORLD ARE YOU???

I am excited about my upcoming trip- later this week- to Camby Grove- which is south of Portland,Oregon- where I will be speaking at a Family Camp bringing some personal-from the heart thoughts to some wonderful people that I have been with before- packed with a ton of inspiration and my trademark perspiration which happens no matter what the climate I may be found in...

I will be gone for 10 days which means that I will be missing my next 2 Monday Night Oldies With A Heart offerings... Don't worry though, I haven't been fired or abducted by aliens or have I left to attempt one more baseball comeback with my struggling Mets- I am just away on another adventure that I am sure will give me many new stories to tell upon my return! Actually- Rick Rock has given me his blessing to host a special edition of my show which can be heard on Tuesday Night July 22nd from 7PM until Midnight...

I want to say a huge THANK YOU to RICHIE and MITCH from the RIP CHORDS for spending a few hours last night on the air with me... The stories were outstanding and the music- well it made me want to hop in my car- put the windows down and turn the radio way, way up!!! And getting to chat with Carol Conners or as her friends call her- (which I can now add myself to the list)-"CC"- well years ago her voice on the Teddy Bear's recording of "To Know Him Is To Love Him" made Elvis fall in love with her and after wowing us last night with her charm and absolute grace- she has many new admirers to add to that list- including me!!!

DON'T FORGET TO COME OUT TO THE RIP CHORDS LIVE IN NORTH WILDWOOD ON SATURDAY JULY 19 AT 7PM FOR A FREE CONCERT AT THE LOU BOOTH AMPHITHEATER...
I am so sorry I will be missing it- but I'll be on the other Coast where the Body Glove was born and Surf City is still the place you can find 2 girls for every boy...

Finally- I want to send a shout out to check out COOL SCOOPS whenever you are in the North Wildwood area. Forget the Hard Rock Cafe- this ice cream parlor is a virtual museum of incredible memorabilia and heartwarming memories! Paul and Laurie had to throw me out yesterday as I was mesmorized by all the wonderful treasures to look at... I'm going to ask if they will decorate my office the very same way when we build our new church! And if it wasn't for my being on Weight Watchers- I would have had a Root Beer Float to go but 25 more pounds to go and maybe I will!

So until I meet you again by way of radio-keep looking up and then look out- for there is always something amazing waiting for those who keep their eyes and their hearts wide open!!! Maranatha!!!!!!!!!!
